Geodesic Limited announces consolidated results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011

HIGHLIGHTS

• Geodesic reported revenues of Rs. 238.6 crores during the quarter ended December 31, 2011.
• Geodesic reported earnings of Rs. 65.75 crores during the quarter ended December 31, 2011.
• EPS stood at Rs.7.29 during the quarter ended December 31, 2011.

Mumbai – February 14, 2012 - Geodesic Limited today announced financial results for the quarter ended December 31^st, 2011.

Operational Highlights during the quarter:

• Geodesic reported consolidated revenues of Rs. 238.6 crores and earnings of Rs. 65.75 crores during the quarter ended December 31, 2011. Geodesic’s consolidated EPS stood at Rs.7.29 for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.
• Geodesic added 30 employees during the quarter ended December 31, 2011.
• Geodesic launched Enlyte Note - an on-the-go notepad application on iPad that stores photos, drawings, jottings and typed text from a meeting, classroom or a field visit.
• Geodesic announced the availability of ZigBee certified RF modules for smart energy management solution.
• "Jana Gana Mana" the Marathi movie was released on Mundu TV and www.filmorbit.com along with its theaterical release, thus becoming the first Asian movie to be released on the digital and the mobile platform in Asia.
• Dr. Jagdish N. Sheth has joined Geodesic’s Board of Advisors to help chart out Geodesic’s future products and strategy. Dr Sheth is a renowned scholar and world authority in the field of marketing. His insights on global competition, strategic thinking and customer relationship management are considered revolutionary. Dr. Sheth is the Charles H. Kellstadt Chair of Marketing in the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, USA. He is also on the Board of Directors of several public listed companies in the US, Europe and Asia.

Customers acquired during the quarter:

• Geodesic signed agreements with Motorola Mobility - a leading handset and tablet provider, Longcheer-Telecom and CK Telecom Limited -Leading OEM/ODM’s in China, Huawei - a leading global ICT solutions provider to preload Mundu products on handhelds/ tablets.
• Geodesic signed agreements with Airtel, Loop Mobile and Claro(America Movil brand) in Honduras to launch Mundu products / Spokn VMS/ Microsoft Windows live client.
• Mundu TV has been integrated with Omnesys’ NEST trader terminal for live market updates and news.
• Geodesic-signed agreements with Muscat Stock Exchange, Religare Securities (Australia), Reliance Securities, Edelweiss, and Karvy Broking Ltd., to deploy enterprise solutions.
• Geodesic‘s GeoAmida has been deployed in a pilot project for AEPS based NREGA payment disbursement system by UIDAI in Jharkhand.
• Geodesic signed an agreement with Virgosoft, an e-governance solutions company to supply GeoAmida hand held devices for biometric-based exam attendance management system.
• Geodesic’s Geoamida handheld devices are being implemented and utilized by business correspondents for financial inclusion program in Rajasthan in coordination with State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur.

Strategic partnerships during this quarter

• Geodesic signed a partnership agreement withOmnesys, a leading provider of OMS for multi-asset, multi venue trading systems to integrate Geodesic’s financial products.
• Geodesic signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NextVIEW, a leading financial portal in South East Asia to offer financial services and solutions on a revenue share basis, expanding new market opportunities in the Far East region.
• Geodesic signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Heckyl, a Mumbai-based financial portal in order to implement Geodesic’s financial services and solutions on a revenue share basis.
• Geodesic’s subsidiary, Interactive Network Inc., signed a worldwide reseller agreement with Microsoft to deploy Windows Live Mobile services with Mobile Network Operators, OEMs & ODMs worldwide.

• Mundu TV was nominated as one of the Top recommended apps on Nokia OVI store.
• Mundu TV was awarded the Editor’s Pick Award by Software Informer – a top 500 visited website
• Mundu TV had more than 5 Million downloads on the Nokia OVI store in just 11 months and has added 15 new TV channels in this quarter.
•  Mundu TV was promoted at Nokia Priority Stores as one of the top 10 OVI store application.
