Mumbai, 29 January 2010: Geodesic Limited (BSE: 503699, NSE: GEODESIC), a leading provider of content, communication and collaboration solutions to the enterprise and the retail segments, reported its third quarter results for fiscal 2010 ended December 31, 2009.
Financial Highlights for the third quarter ended December 31, 2009
• Geodesic reported revenues of Rs 151.85 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2009.
• Geodesic reported profit of Rs 62.51 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2009.
• EPS for the Third quarter ended December 31, 2009 stands at Rs 6.78.
• The Board of Directors at their meeting held on 29th January 2010, declared an Interim Dividend @ 37.5 % (i.e. 75 paise on shares of Rs. 2/- each) on fully paid up equity share capital consisting 92,243,799 equity shares of Rs 2/- each for the year 2009-2010. The record date for the same as decided by the Board shall be February 10, 2010 and the payment date shall be February 24, 2010.
• The Board of Directors appointed a committee to review the stock buy back proposal since the stock price is currently higher than the earlier approved stock price. The committee will present their recommendations during the course of the next board meeting to be held in February 2010.
Functional Highlights
• Geodesic added 30 new employees to strengthen the product management team, the software engineering department and the marketing department during the last quarter ended 31 Dec 2009.
• Mr. G Krishnan – retired IAS officer and Ex- Chief Secretary of Jharkhand was appointed as an independent Director on the Board of Geodesic Ltd.

Geodesic launched:
• “Continuum” an Enterprise wide unified communications and collaboration suite that seamlessly integrates CRM. It focuses on communications enabled business processes, collaboration, contact management and saves communication costs across the enterprise. Continuum provides the Enterprise with a 360-degree view of their customers.
• The Alpha version of Filmorbit (www.filmorbit.com) - a portal dedicated to the Entertainment and Media industry in India. The portal uses Mundu Entertainment stack as a means to deliver deep interlinked content on the mobile and desktop platforms.
• WalletWAP, a solution for broking enterprises that allows a user to track markets and individual portfolio on their mobile devices.
• Wealth console - an advanced desktop tool to offer a dash-board of one’s investments and portfolio analysis.
• Chandamama widget that provides new story alerts to its subscribers. The widget has been downloaded in as many as 53 countries.

• Mundu IM won the Handango Champion Award 2009 for “Best Social Application” for Blackberry Users.
• Mundu IM for Android won the prestigious GSM Asia Mobile Award 2009 as the “Best Mobile Internet Service”.
• Mundu Radio was a finalist at the Mobile Excellence Awards held at San Diego. It is a coveted Awards program and recognizes Industry’s rising stars and Best of the Best in Mobile Entertainment.

New Customers
Retail:
• The Company added around 215,000 new users for Mundu products.
• Mundu VoIP clocked an average of 180,000 call minutes per day.
• Average 100,000 text messages (SMS) per day were sent using Mundu SMS.
Enterprise:
• Geodesic subsidiary signed a deal with America Movil, Latin America's top mobile carrier with over 180 million subscribers in 18 countries to provide live instant messaging service to its mobile subscribers.
• Geodesic signed a Memorandum of Understanding with B2M Technologies Limited, Bangladesh to provide Mundu Radio to Grameenphone, Bangladesh’s top mobile carrier’s subscribers. Mundu Radio will be the first streaming radio to be launched over the mobile domain in Bangladesh.
• Geodesic signed an agreement with one of the top handset manufacturers to pre-bundle Mundu IM along with their mobile phones.
• Geodesic partnered with www.moneycontrol.com, India’s leading financial portal for CNBC TV18 to provide interactive charting tool to its subscribers.
• Geodesic powered www.smartinvestor.in - a comprehensive financial services portal launched by Business Standard.
• Geodesic signed an agreement with Tata Teleservices Limited to provide Mundu Radio to Tata Indicom subscribers. This is the first implementation of Mundu Radio on the CDMA platform.
• The Company signed deals with Samsung Securities (Asia), Green Dragon Gas and a major Asian Investment Bank to provide financial services solutions including CRM and integrated communication.
• The company received orders for GeoAmida (hand held device) from:
o TCS for a “Financial Inclusion” project of three PSU banks namely Punjab National Bank, Indian Overseas Bank & Indian Bank.
o HCL Infosystem for a financial inclusion project of State Bank of Hyderabad.
o Eaglesoft to be used for NREGA implementation in Kerala.
GeoAmida is gaining visibility among emerging economies and has received initial orders from Ethiopia, Kenya, Lagos, Spain and El Salvadore.
New Companies
• During the period under review, the Company has incorporated two private companies - “ITM Digital Private Limited” and “Geodesic Gridpoint Energy Private Limited” on 7th January, 2010 and 13th January, 2010 respectively.
