Sarraju Narasinga Rao
Chief Products Officer
S N Rao has over 19 years of experience in Design, Development and Management of Network and Telecom Products. He has an extensive knowledge in data networking, network security and wireless telecom industry, combined with in-depth technological expertise.
Proficient at managing complex engineering programs, product management and system architecture, he is well versed in long range product strategy and planning. He is also adept at building and managing distributed, multi-site teams across time zones.
Before joining Geodesic S N Rao was an independent advisor at Telecom, Networking Systems and Solutions. There, he specialised in advising executive teams of a select few start-ups and established companies in telecom products and services. His profile included engineering management and competence building, business planning and fund raising, and development of long term strategies.
He has held very senior positions in Vihaan Networks Limited, Gurgaon (Senior Vice President, Products Management) and Juniper Networks, CA (Senior Products Manager, SLT), to name a few.
His journey in the tech world began early on. After completion of Masters Degree in Computer Software in Visakhapatnam, he joined the Department of Defense, R&D, Govt. of India, as Computer Scientist.
One of the high points of his professional life was when he got his patent in June 2006 – System and method for detection of intrusion attacks on packets transmitted on a network.
